Quoting limited to 3 levels deep She said she was so embarrassed when she realized who it was.
But she wouldn't have been embarassed if it had been just a regular fan :blulaugh: . Not exactly very sweet of her.
I knew someone would point that out. But she probably learned her lesson to be gracious to any fan who approaches you politely. Queen Latifah just showed up out the blue at a restaurant in my hometown and she told the stunned owner that "Man, I'm hungry!" lol While she was eating the fans were busy snapping pictures and if she was bothered by it she sure didn't let on. She was just very friendly and having fun with the fans. I'd just like to point out that none of us are always 100% at our job, we all have off days, and since no one here has walked in a celeb's shoes, I don't get all the judgement.

Im not star or a celebrity and yet I have days where I don't want to be messed with either. I can sympathize with the stars, they don't know how this "fan" will react. Either get a hug or a slug (punch), some can't separate reel life from real life.

So elated for him, he deserves it. His presence is terribly missed on Y&R.

I'm just sure if it was anyone of us we'd just be the perfect celeb and be smiling and shaking hands no matter how we felt that day. Picture a raging episode of PMS , a bad back, a personal disaster, or a migraine. :badmood: So easy when a person has never walked in another person's shoes. :shame:

I understand the disappointment of the fan, who didn't even really bash him for it. I would be really disappointed if it was someone I really liked, too. I don't think it has anything to do with being a moody fan or whatnot. I could see if it were a case of running into an actor while out and about, but it's a scheduled event where you know in advance you will be interacting with fans excited to meet you. That's when it's time to go into acting mode if there is something you need to cover up. In most professions an employee could get in trouble for letting certain things interfere with their work.
Since we're talking about actors, a director isn't going to just be like...ok, cool if someone doesn't play a scene correctly because they are having a bad day.

How do you know what a director would do? If an actor doesn't have "it" that day, and they try to force it, it never comes across well, I am quite sure they take a break until said actor gets his shit together. I do think it's unfair to judge someone based on one experience, and rather presumptuous to decide how another person should act when we have no idea what was going on in the actor's head. Raise your hand if you're perfect and never, ever showed irritation, impatience, or disinterest while on the job.

I think the person was talking about their own experience, and it's hard not to form an opinion of someone based on your experience with them.
But the whole point of a fan event is to provide the best fan experience possible and if you don't think you can do that based on mood or something going on personally, you need to excuse yourself from the event. Otherwise, just do what you do for a living which is act your way through a few hours, if that.
